I was asked by UsFolk and The Naughton Gallery at Queen’s University Belfast to choose a film which has had a great influence on my work and design a bespoke print for a one off screening.
Andrei Tarkovsky’s use of composition, metaphor, his depiction of space and time and recurring symbolism have a huge effect on my work and for me, his last film The Sacrifice is the perfect distillation of all of these elements.
